How Predict Playoffs collects, uses, and protects your information.

Information we collect

We collect your email and account information, leaderboard name, predictions and brackets, scores and standings, groups, and memberships. Basic technical information, such as IP addresses, browser information, and errors, helps us operate, secure, and maintain the site.

How we use information

We use this information to manage accounts, save predictions, run leaderboards and groups, send account emails, and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

Analytics and browser storage

On our public production and development pages, privacy-focused, cookieless analytics help us understand traffic: pages visited, referrals, browser and device information, and approximate location. We also count aggregate site activity, such as sign-ins, predictions, and group activity. Analytics are designed for aggregate reporting without linking individual predictions or account activity to identifiable users.

On public pages, we also measure aggregate active time, pausing when visitors are inactive or switch away. We respect supported Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track signals by disabling analytics.

Essential browser storage keeps you signed in and maintains your session.

Service providers

Service providers help us operate the site, deliver account emails, and analyze usage.

Public and group information

Your leaderboard name, scores, and saved brackets may be public. Private group information is visible to members. Avoid personal information in leaderboard or group names.

Data retention and account deletion

We keep information as needed to provide the service; analytics, security records, and backups may have different retention periods.

In Account, you can change your leaderboard name or delete your account, saved predictions and brackets, current leaderboard information, and memberships. Group commissioners must first transfer their role and leave.

Past group results may retain your leaderboard name and scores for members. Limited copies may remain temporarily in backups or security and operational records.
